Inventions you can see working
Maker Faire Rome brings together technology, science and independent invention. From 23 to 25 October 2026, Gazometro Ostiense welcomes projects by makers, startups, schools, universities and research teams. The interesting moment is the move from an idea to a working object: electronics become a device, code controls a mechanism and a new material finds a practical use.
Exhibits, talks and workshops make this an appealing visit for anyone curious about contemporary technology. Engineering knowledge is not a prerequisite for getting acquainted with the projects: the organiser emphasises accessible explanations. Professionals can get more from conversations by choosing their main interests in advance.
Choose your discoveries
Themes include robotics and AI, digital manufacturing, virtual reality, gaming and the circular economy. Compare teams’ approaches, question their creators and connect research with daily life. Choose workshops and talks from the published programme. The ticket includes exhibition areas, workshops and live demonstrations; access to individual indoor spaces depends on available capacity.
