From EUR to a seaside finish
RomaOstia Half Marathon is a race whose direction is already in its name. The 52nd edition takes place on 28 February 2027: runners cover 21.097 km from Rome’s EUR district to Ostia. The announced start is at Roma PalaEUR, with the finish on Piazzale Cristoforo Colombo, at the roundabout in Ostia.

It suits runners looking for a half-marathon goal and a journey from the city towards the sea. Unlike a loop course, the start and finish are in different places. This gives the event its character and shapes the whole group’s plans: a companion can decide where to offer support and where to meet the runner afterwards.
One race, different experiences
For the runner, the race itself is the main event: preparation, the shared start, finding a personal pace and reaching the finish area. For a companion, the day may revolve around supporting them and meeting in Ostia. A journey to PalaEUR and a pickup at the seaside finish need separate arrangements, which are worth discussing in advance.
Our suggestion is to decide first where you will be based on race day. If staying in Rome, plan the morning journey to the start and the later meeting in Ostia separately. If supporting a runner, agree where and how to contact each other afterwards, allowing them time to finish their sporting day comfortably. A clear plan is more useful than filling the morning with extra stops.

Participation and practical plans
The race date is 28 February 2027. The organiser is Gruppo Sportivo Bancari Romani, and the regulations specify the half-marathon format. Entry categories differ for Italian and international participants, so read the registration process and requirements for your own situation in the official rules. Check current start and finish instructions again before travelling.
Through Hola Taxi’s contacts, you can discuss a hotel-to-PalaEUR journey and a separate return from Ostia. Include the date, pickup address, number of passengers and meeting plans. Agree specific arrival points with race-day restrictions in mind. Arrival at Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA) and the journey to your hotel are separate parts of the trip.
