Rome 15K 2026: a November running day in Rome

Two distances for a day in Rome

Rome 15K is a city running event organised by Forhans Team on 8 November 2026. The programme includes 15 km and 5 km distances, each with competitive and non-competitive formats. Runners can choose between a longer journey through the city and a shorter distance around which to build the rest of their day.

The appeal is the combination of running and Rome’s urban landscape. The start and finish are on Viale delle Terme di Caracalla. Both distances return to the same area, although the race itself takes place on city streets. A runner’s companion can decide whether to watch the start, offer support along the course or wait until the finish.

Beyond the starting arch

The organiser’s published description of the longer route includes the Tiber embankments, Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps area, Piazza Navona and the Colosseum. The shorter route also takes in the historic centre: its street list includes Piazza Venezia and Via dei Fori Imperiali. Check the final course before the race so that your chosen viewing spot matches the right distance.

Our suggestion is to choose a format that suits your preparation and the kind of trip you want. Five and fifteen kilometres call for different amounts of energy and time. If travelling as a group, agree a plan for those who are not running. Read the entry and registration conditions for the specific race you choose.

Practical details and the journey

Both distances take place on 8 November 2026, starting and finishing on Viale delle Terme di Caracalla in Rome. Check current times, participation rules and organiser instructions before attending. A map of an earlier edition should not be used as the final plan for this year.

Plan your hotel journey to a suitable point near the start area, taking race-day road restrictions into account when agreeing your arrival. Through Hola Taxi’s contacts, you can discuss the route, number of passengers and desired arrival time. Allow time after the finish before your return journey. If flying in for the race, discuss the transfer from Fiumicino (FCO) or Ciampino (CIA) to your hotel separately.
