MIDO brings together the optical industry to explore eyewear as a design object, a technological product and the foundation of an optical business. Frame and lens manufacturers, equipment suppliers, designers, buyers and distributors meet here. It is especially relevant to professionals who want to discover new offers and discuss them directly with companies.

MIDO 2027 takes place on 6–8 February at Fiera Milano Rho. Registration for visitors and press is already open. The dates and registration launch are confirmed in the organiser’s announcement of 25 September 2026.
What to explore
One of MIDO’s strengths is the range of participants along the same production chain. Alongside finished frames and lenses, the exhibition presents equipment and solutions for the sector. An optical-business owner or buyer can compare the appearance of collections as well as approaches to developing, manufacturing and working with a product.
The fair also gives attention to new names. Academy and Start Up focus on young professionals, designers and new companies. Include them if you are looking for fresh perspectives beyond your familiar suppliers. Choose specific stands and exhibitors from current information for the 2027 edition.
The Vision Stage in hall 1 is another part of the programme. The organiser announces meetings, talks, conferences and workshops about eyewear culture, innovation and professional issues. The full speaker line-up is still to be published; the 2026 programme should not be used to plan the future visit.
Planning a professional visit
Start with registration in the right category and a list of companies you want to meet. If The Vision Stage interests you, reserve time for it once the programme appears. This makes it easier to coordinate stand appointments with talks you want to hear.
The venue is in Rho, outside central Milan. City meetings and an exhibition day need separate addresses and departure plans. Your choice of hotel may depend on whether you expect to spend more time at the fair or elsewhere in the city.

Travel to MIDO
You can discuss a hotel-to-exhibition journey with Hola Taxi and a separate return. Provide your address, visiting dates and party size. For travel after a flight, specify Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN) or Bergamo (BGY). If checking into a hotel first, the airport transfer and trip to MIDO are different routes.
