Dalí and Fashion: Surrealism meets the wardrobe

Milan offers an unexpected way to discover Dalí: through clothes, jewellery, photographs and collaborations with fashion houses. Dalí e la Moda is already open at Palazzo Reale and continues until 31 January 2027. It is a compelling visit if you are curious about how art moves beyond a painting into clothing, magazine imagery and public life.
The exhibition brings together more than 200 works and documents. Paintings and drawings appear alongside dresses, films, jewellery and archive materials. You can trace Dalí’s relationships with Schiaparelli, Chanel, Dior and Rabanne, as well as Gala’s role in creating their shared visual world.

The Brueghels in Milan: an art of noticing details

Snowy landscapes, storms at sea, village celebrations and carefully observed still lifes: the Brueghels exhibition at Palazzo Reale explores how familiar painting genres became subjects in their own right. It is already open and continues until 31 January 2027. It suits both admirers of Flemish art and anyone who enjoys discovering small stories within a picture.
Rather than focusing on one famous painter, the exhibition introduces a dynasty. More than 80 paintings, drawings and prints allow you to compare subjects and ways of depicting the world. You can move between the whole composition and a tiny figure in the distance, returning to gestures, objects and individual characters.
When: 29.09.2026 — 31.01.2027 · Where: Palazzo Reale, Milan
Bob Dylan in Milan: an evening at Unipol Dome

On 2 November 2026, Bob Dylan performs at Unipol Dome in Milan’s Santa Giulia district. Both his official website and the arena list the date. For a fan, it offers the chance to build a trip around one evening: spend the day in Milan, then hear Dylan in concert.
His work connects the history of American song with literature. Starting in the Greenwich Village folk scene in New York in the early 1960s, Dylan went on to arena rock concerts and decades of international touring. His 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature is a reminder of how central the written song is to this music, alongside voice, melody and performance.
When: 02.11.2026 · Where: Unipol Dome, Santa Giulia, Milan
Pitbull in Milan: I’m Back with special guest Lil Jon

On 9 November 2026, Pitbull brings his I’m Back tour to Milan’s Unipol Dome, with Lil Jon announced as special guest. Make it the main evening plan on a trip with friends: explore Milan during the day, then meet up for the concert in Santa Giulia.
Pitbull’s music is recognisable through collaborations and songs readily associated with a night of dancing. Fireball with John Ryan, Timber with Ke$ha and Give Me Everything are starting points in his catalogue. Pitbull and Lil Jon have also recorded together, including Damn I Love Miami; that creative connection helps explain the choice of special guest.
When: 09.11.2026 · Where: Unipol Dome, Santa Giulia, Milan
Muse in Milan: two evenings of The Wow! Signal

On 20 and 21 November 2026, Muse play Milan’s Unipol Dome on The Wow! Signal Europa Tour. These are two separate concert evenings: choose the date that works for you and build a city trip around it. The announced trio is Matt Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenholme.
The tour takes its name from the band’s tenth studio album. The Wow! Signal turns towards a cosmic mystery: a brief radio signal detected in 1977. The musical concept brings together uncertainty, hope and the possibility of contact with something beyond the familiar world. For fans, it provides context for a new phase of Muse; for newer listeners, it offers a starting point.
When: 20.11.2026 — 21.11.2026 · Where: Unipol Dome, Santa Giulia, Milan
Korn at Unipol Forum: an evening of heavy music near Milan

On 21 November 2026, Korn perform at Unipol Forum in Assago, near Milan. Live Nation announces it as the band’s only Italian date. For heavy-music fans, it can be the main reason for a weekend visit, whether travelling alone, with a partner or with friends.
Korn are closely associated with the emergence of nu metal: their 1994 debut helped establish a new sound where heavy music met other genres. The current concert offers another encounter with that history. It appeals both to long-time listeners and to someone wanting to discover the band through a live performance.
When: 21.11.2026 · Where: Unipol Forum, Assago
BookCity Milano 2026: a city comes together around books

One specific invitation has already been announced: Colson Whitehead is the guest of honour at the opening on 23 November at 8 pm in Teatro Dal Verme. If you want a literary event at the heart of an autumn trip, this evening can be your starting point for choosing dates in Milan and other appointments.

Otello at La Scala: a new season begins

La Scala opens its season with Verdi’s Otello on 7 December 2026. It is a reason to set aside a whole evening during a Milan trip: see a new production of Shakespeare’s tragedy and hear La Scala’s orchestra and chorus conducted by Myung-Whun Chung. Further performances follow on selected dates until 5 January 2027.
Both the opera and its connection to this theatre are part of the appeal. Verdi composed Otello for La Scala in 1887, to Arrigo Boito’s libretto. Love and trust give way to jealousy, manipulation and personal ambition. The theatre presents it as a drama of private emotions and society’s prejudices; Damiano Michieletto directs the new production.
When: 07.12.2026 — 05.01.2027 · Where: Teatro alla Scala, Milan
The Nutcracker at La Scala: a winter evening with ballet

In December and January, La Scala presents Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker in Rudolf Nureyev’s production. It opens the theatre’s ballet season, with performances on selected dates from 17 December 2026 to 16 January 2027. It can become a family outing during a winter trip to Milan or an evening devoted to classical ballet.
The story takes the audience from a Christmas celebration at home into Clara’s dream. Mice and soldiers, snowflakes, dances and the famous waltzes fill the stage. In Nureyev’s version, growing up lies behind the festive fairy tale: brighter scenes alternate with more unsettling moments, and the demanding duets reward as much attention as the large ensembles.
When: 17.12.2026 — 16.01.2027 · Where: Teatro alla Scala, Milan
Giacometti and Italy: a new encounter at Palazzo Reale

From 25 February to 20 June 2027, Palazzo Reale presents Alberto Giacometti e l’Italia. The focus is Giacometti’s relationship with Italy: its language, art, journeys and people who shaped his life. For a spring trip to Milan, it offers a more personal and specific perspective on a familiar sculptor.
The organisers bring together more than 100 works from the Fondation Giacometti: sculptures, paintings, drawings and archive documents. Curator Romain Perrin traces how Italian experiences entered different periods of the artist’s work. Recognisable figures sit within a story of travel, friendships and a continuing engagement with the country’s artistic heritage.
When: 25.02.2027 — 20.06.2027 · Where: Palazzo Reale, Milan

The 2027 edition begins a new phase under artistic director Cloe Piccoli. The addition of milano to the name emphasises the connection with the city and its cultural institutions. For visitors, the central attraction is clear: galleries, artists, curators and collectors gather in one place in April.

The tour is linked to her third album, Daughter from Hell, written and produced by Abrams with Aaron Dessner. Look at My Life, which gives the tour its name, was one of the project’s singles. If you previously knew only That’s So True or Close to You, explore the newer material before travelling and compare it with earlier recordings.

The city event suits runners who enjoy these road-race distances: the half marathon offers a sporting goal, while 10 km provides another way to take part. The organiser connects the course with recognisable Milan places, including CityLife, Parco Sempione, the Duomo, Castello Sforzesco and the Darsena. The detailed half-marathon map is still marked provisional, so choose particular cheering points using its latest version.

For friends or a family, it offers a distance to suit different abilities and a morning among the modern architecture and parks of this Milan district.
Sottozero is a separate autumn race, rather than the spring Stramilano with its finish at Arco della Pace. This event centres on CityLife. The 5 km participants complete one lap, while the 10 km participants repeat it. A group can include both people aiming for a result and those who want a gentler outing while sharing the occasion.

HYROX Milan 2026: running and strength in Rho

HYROX Milan brings competitors to Fiera Milano Rho from 4 to 6 December 2026. It is an indoor fitness race: eight one-kilometre runs alternate with eight functional workouts. Instead of completing one continuous running distance, athletes keep switching between running and a station, with SkiErg, sleds, rowing and other exercises along the way.
HYROX can be a travel goal for someone who trains regularly, works out with a partner or wants to compete with friends. The Milan programme includes individual, doubles and relay categories. A team can turn its training plan into a shared occasion, while friends and family can come to support their competitors.
When: 04.12.2026 — 06.12.2026 · Where: Fiera Milano (Rho), Viale Porta Ovest, 20017 Rho

It can suit both someone training for a result and someone who wants to share a morning in the city with people close to them.
Stramilano Half Marathon covers 21.097 km and has its own sporting entry requirements. Choose it with a goal and preparation in place. The 10 km option offers a shorter way to join the city running event. The organiser also recommends the 5 km Stramilanina for families and people who prefer to walk or take things more gently.
When: 21.03.2027 · Where: Piazza Duomo / Piazza Castello / Arco della Pace
Wizz Air Milano Marathon 2027: a city on the run

Milan hosts the Wizz Air Milano Marathon on 4 April 2027. For some, the trip is about a personal best over 42.195 km; for others, it is a chance to support someone close and see the city during a major running celebration. The organisers plan cheering zones and music along the course, so you can enjoy the race without a bib of your own.
A marathon gives a weekend in Milan a clear purpose: completing the distance, meeting running-club friends or sharing an important day with a runner. Let the race shape your plans and leave other hours for walks and meals together. Agree beforehand who is racing, who is cheering and where everyone will meet afterwards.
When: 04.04.2027 · Where: Corso Sempione — Piazza del Duomo; course through Milan
