An Abu Dhabi event can be an evening out from Dubai or the centrepiece of a longer stay. Start with what interests you: music, an exhibition, theatre or sport. Then decide where to stay and how to get back afterwards. You do not have to fly directly to Abu Dhabi.
If you are staying in Abu Dhabi
For a concert or exhibition journey from your hotel, the starting point is your address rather than the airport. When discussing a transfer, include the event, date and party size so the journey can be planned around your evening or working day.
If you are coming from Dubai
You can keep your hotel in Dubai and visit Abu Dhabi for a chosen event. Discuss departure from your area and the return journey in advance: an evening concert calls for a different plan from a daytime exhibition. For a group, include the number of passengers.
If you are arriving by air
Check the airport on your ticket: AUH is Zayed International Airport, DXB is Dubai International Airport and DWC is Al Maktoum International Airport. Plan arrival travel to your hotel separately from the event journey if that suits your stay. If the event is on Yas Island, include the island and venue name in your enquiry.

After the event
Do not base your return arrangements only on the starting time. Discuss them with the programme and your evening plans in mind. Regional events need their actual location checked: Liwa and Al Ain call for different routes from Abu Dhabi city.
