From 9 to 11 April 2027, Allianz MiCo hosts miart milano, the international fair for modern and contemporary art. In one visit, you can discover artists from different generations, compare gallery projects and see the ideas younger voices are bringing to the art scene.
The 2027 edition begins a new phase under artistic director Cloe Piccoli. The addition of milano to the name emphasises the connection with the city and its cultural institutions. For visitors, the central attraction is clear: galleries, artists, curators and collectors gather in one place in April.
How the fair is organised
Three announced sections offer different ways into the art. Main Section Contemporary and Modern / Atlas of Arts brings together modern and contemporary galleries. It is a place to start with a broad view: compare artists, materials and approaches, then spend longer with the projects that catch your eye.
New Voices is dedicated to younger galleries and emerging trends, including projects conceived specifically for the fair. Close Up. Solo Shows and Conversations focuses on solo presentations and dialogues between artists, offering a closer look at a particular subject rather than a quick overview of everything.
That combination makes miart interesting both for art professionals and for visitors hoping to discover new names. Look at the published exhibitor list in advance and choose a few starting points, leaving room for unexpected discoveries once you arrive.
An April trip to Milan
The venue is Allianz MiCo in Milan. Keep that name in your travel plans: the Fiera Milano exhibition complex in Rho is a different address. The fair’s dates also differ from Milano Art Week, announced for 5–11 April. Explore that citywide programme separately as it is published.
Check tickets and admission conditions with miart. If you are travelling for a particular gallery or conversation, confirm its participation before allocating your days. Once you have chosen your main day at Allianz MiCo, you can arrange activities elsewhere in the city around it.
From your hotel to Allianz MiCo
You can contact Hola Taxi to discuss a journey to the fair. Give your hotel address, visiting day and party size. Include plans to return after the fair or continue to another meeting in your enquiry.
If flying into Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN) or Bergamo (BGY), specify the airport and your accommodation address separately. The arrival transfer and the later hotel-to-miart trip are distinct stages that can be discussed in one enquiry.
