Wizz Air Milano Marathon 2027: a city on the run

Wizz Air Milano Marathon takes place on 4 April 2027. Discover the city race, its start and finish, and how to plan a trip with a runner or group.

Event dates:

Milan hosts the Wizz Air Milano Marathon on 4 April 2027. For some, the trip is about a personal best over 42.195 km; for others, it is a chance to support someone close and see the city during a major running celebration. The organisers plan cheering zones and music along the course, so you can enjoy the race without a bib of your own.

Why make the trip

A marathon gives a weekend in Milan a clear purpose: completing the distance, meeting running-club friends or sharing an important day with a runner. Let the race shape your plans and leave other hours for walks and meals together. Agree beforehand who is racing, who is cheering and where everyone will meet afterwards.

The event runs through the city. The race page names Corso Sempione as the start and Piazza del Duomo as the finish. These are separate places, so supporters should choose their meeting point around the runner’s plans. The detailed map on the website is still labelled as the 2026 course; use the organiser’s updates when planning for 2027.

Before race morning

Allow time for bib collection. The organiser’s practical information links it to the Milano Running Festival on 1–3 April 2027. Check the address and collection instructions before travelling: the flight and the start line are only part of a marathon weekend.

Entry requirements depend on the participant’s category. Read the organiser’s registration rules and document requirements before finalising your trip. Supporters should know the chosen distance, the planned meeting time after the finish and how to contact their runner. Leave time for recovery and regrouping rather than booking the next appointment immediately after an estimated finish.

Getting to Milan and the start

Arrival at Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN) or Bergamo (BGY), the journey to your hotel and the trip to the marathon are separate journeys. On race day, choose a pickup point around the current road restrictions rather than simply the nearest place on a map.

To discuss a transfer with Hola Taxi, send an enquiry with your airport or hotel address, passenger numbers, luggage and race-day plans. Discuss the journey after the finish separately once you have chosen a meeting point. The route and arrangements need to be confirmed for each enquiry.
