IDEX and NAVDEX are a linked pair of professional exhibitions for people working in defence technology, security and the maritime industry. A visit usually centres on industry objectives: discovering developments, seeing companies and equipment, and holding business meetings.

The 2027 edition is announced for 25–29 January at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. Check the organiser’s current programme and participation conditions before travelling.
The fields represented
IDEX covers land, air and maritime solutions, as well as protection against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats, known as CBRNE. NAVDEX focuses on naval technology and maritime security. Holding them together allows visitors to combine several professional interests in one trip, while the exhibitions and participation formats retain their own features and conditions.
For 2027, the organiser also presents IDEX NXT, a section related to artificial intelligence and new defence technologies. If your interests include autonomous systems, analytics or digital tools, begin with this part of the programme. Consult the current exhibition directory for stands and demonstrations.
Who the visit suits
This is primarily a trip for industry specialists, company representatives and professional delegations. Choose relevant fields and arrange meetings in advance so that you can focus on the subjects that matter to your work. If travelling as a team, divide responsibilities: some colleagues may want technical discussions, while others are meeting suppliers or partners.
Check registration, documentation and participation requirements for your chosen programme directly with the organiser.

Organising the journey
For either an Abu Dhabi hotel departure or a journey from Dubai, provide your starting address and the plan for the particular day. Through Hola Taxi’s contact page, you can give the date, passenger count and departure address, then discuss the return separately. If flying into Dubai, explain whether you need to visit your accommodation first: that plan follows a different route from an arrival at Abu Dhabi airport.
