At Dubai Safari Park, you can see elephants and gorillas, discover Arabian wildlife and take a safari through the grounds. This is a family day focused on watching animals. It is more rewarding to spend time observing them than collect photographs from a checklist.
The park is in Al Warqa 5. Its six zones offer different wildlife and leisure experiences: African Village, Asian Village, Explorer Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Kids Farm and Al Wadi. Season 8 opened on 12 October 2026; check operation on your chosen date before travelling.

Which animals can you see?
African Village includes the African elephant, white lion and gorilla. In Asian Village, the operator highlights the Himalayan bear, Komodo dragon and gibbon. Arabian Desert Safari introduces regional wildlife, including Arabian oryx and sand gazelles.
Children have Kids Farm, while Al Wadi offers a change of pace among greenery beside the water. There is no need to build the whole programme around large animals: pausing by birds or quietly watching animals' behaviour can be a memorable part of the visit too.
What makes the safaris different?
The park offers two different vehicle journeys: Arabian Desert Safari and Explorer Safari Tour. The latter passes through areas with big cats and hippopotamuses. If this journey is your main reason for visiting, check ticket inclusions: Explorer Safari Tour is included in Safari Bundle, while the standard Park Pass and that package differ.
The operator also offers animal encounters, such as giraffe feeding or meeting lemurs. These have separate requirements and available times; they are not automatically included with admission. Compare options on the official visit page.

Planning a family day
Choose your priority before leaving: a safari, your child's favourite animals or a walk through a few zones. Then leave time for lunch and rest rather than rushing across the park to the next activity.
The operator also has bird and other animal presentations. Check the current times at the park on the day. Comfortable shoes and sun protection are useful for walking. Avoid coming straight from a flight with suitcases: large luggage is prohibited by the rules.
For a more compact central visit, compare Dubai Aquarium. For children more interested in film characters and rides, explore MOTIONGATE.
Travelling to the park
You can discuss a family transfer to Dubai Safari Park and back to your hotel with Hola Taxi in advance. Include your date, accommodation address and passenger numbers. Plan the return around your programme: a safari and a walk with stops involve different paces.
