The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix offers a full racing weekend: watch teams prepare in practice, follow the battle in qualifying and return to the stands for Sunday’s race. Formula 1 sessions at Yas Marina Circuit are scheduled for 4–6 December 2026. The promoter’s wider programme begins on 3 December, which matters when choosing dates for your whole trip.
Why visit Yas Marina
The circuit has its own character: a long straight between Turns 5 and 6, heavy braking after the acceleration and a banked Turn 9 redesigned before the 2021 race. Choose the action you most want to watch, whether the start, a battle under braking or a sequence of corners. Formula 1’s circuit description and map can help match those moments to the grandstands.
The first Grand Prix here took place in 2009. If you know Formula 1 from television, visiting brings a chance to explore the circuit itself and the rhythm of a race weekend. For a first trip, start by choosing a day: practice introduces the track, qualifying decides starting positions and the race takes place on 6 December.
Choosing your programme
Give the sessions you want to see priority before adding other Yas Island activities. Choose a ticket with the right grandstand and visiting days, checking its official description: different packages can include different experiences. The Yasalam music programme deserves its own evening and plan; check the promoter’s announcements for the concert lineup and admission conditions.
Before travelling, revisit the Formula 1 timetable and your ticket information. International websites may display times in different time zones, so use Abu Dhabi local time. Leave a comfortable gap before any other appointments after your planned day at the circuit.
Travelling to the race
Discuss your trip with Hola Taxi to Yas Marina Circuit from your Abu Dhabi hotel or from Dubai, including the return. State the day, passenger count and starting point. If you are staying for a concert after the race, mention this when discussing the return. You can also discuss meeting at the airport and travelling to your hotel in advance.
