Frieze Abu Dhabi is an art fair where a single visit brings together works from different galleries and an introduction to the region's contemporary art scene. The first edition under the Frieze name takes place on 19–22 November 2026 at Manarat Al Saadiyat. Public days are 20–22 November; the preview on 19 November is by invitation.

The new fair builds on the legacy of Abu Dhabi Art. International galleries join artists and institutions from the region, offering visitors a way to discover Emirati art and compare different artistic approaches. Looking closely at the works can be a rewarding visit in itself, whether or not you collect art.
What to see
Dala Nasser's new work Qubbat Duris is announced for the atrium. Her project explores the memory of a place through materials, using paintings on fabric and references to a historic monument in Lebanon. It offers a reason to pause and consider how an artwork can connect with landscape and history.
In Dialogue brings together works by Mohammed Kazem and Alia Zaal, Emirati artists of different generations. Alongside gallery stands, the announced talks programme includes artists, curators and museum representatives. Check the date and access conditions beforehand if a particular discussion interests you.
Frieze Sculpture is another part of the programme, at Mamsha Beach on Saadiyat from 16 November to 16 December. If you want to combine it with the fair at Manarat, leave time for a walk and travel between the two locations.

Planning a visit
For the public days on 20–22 November, the organiser lists opening hours of 14:00–21:00. Tickets are tied to a chosen date and time. Check the current conditions and choose according to your interests: one conversation or a few galleries may be more rewarding than trying to see everything.
Discuss your trip with Hola Taxi to Manarat Al Saadiyat, from an Abu Dhabi hotel or Dubai. Give the date, passenger numbers and return plans. If you want to continue to Mamsha Beach, include that stop in your enquiry; you can also discuss an airport pickup and the journey to your hotel.
