The SailGP Final in Abu Dhabi offers sailing on a very different scale and at a very different pace from a leisurely cruise. National teams compete in identical, technologically advanced F50 catamarans. The decisive round of the 2026 season is scheduled for 28–29 November and will take place at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental for the first time.

A reason to make the trip
Both the boats themselves and the competition between crews are part of the appeal. F50s can exceed 100 km/h, and the racing takes place close to shore. For spectators, it combines an engineering spectacle with a team sport: follow the movement of the whole fleet or choose a crew and watch its decisions.
Abu Dhabi hosts the conclusion of the championship after the penultimate round in Dubai. If you want to see both events, treat them as two separate weekends: Dubai is scheduled for 21–22 November, with Abu Dhabi the following week. For a trip just to the final, focus on the 28–29 November programme and choose the day that suits you.
Where to watch the racing
The organiser's announcement names shoreside options including Waterfront Grandstand, Premium Waterfront Grandstand and VELA Beach Club. They offer different ways to spend the day, so choose according to the experience you want and the description of the individual ticket. Before buying, check which spectator areas your chosen ticket includes.
Decide in advance whether watching the races is your main priority or whether you want a longer day by the water. For a group, this is more useful than choosing a ticket by its category name alone. Check the SailGP programme and directions again before setting out: use the organiser's current information for exact times and spectator areas.

Travelling to Emirates Palace
Discuss your journey with Hola Taxi to the SailGP Final at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental from your Abu Dhabi hotel or from Dubai, including the return trip. Give the day, passenger count and chosen spectator category. Explain your return plans; airport pickup and travel to your hotel can also be discussed in advance.
