The United Nations Water Conference addresses a question connecting cities, health, agriculture and the economy: how to ensure access to water and sanitation. It considers technology alongside joint action by governments, organisations and businesses. Visiting specialists can see the water agenda in a broad context, from international commitments to solutions for everyday life.

The conference takes place 8–10 December 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, co-hosted by the UAE and Senegal. Its central framework is accelerating progress on Sustainable Development Goal 6, focused on water and sanitation.
Two different ways to participate
The official website divides the conference space into two zones. One is for the UN programme, while The Oasis is announced as a public zone. Choose the format that suits you in advance: access to the public area does not mean free entry to delegation sessions.
The Oasis offers its own programme and pavilions through which visitors can explore water-related subjects. It is worth considering even if you are not part of the diplomatic programme. Check current themes and registration arrangements to find something relevant to your professional or wider interests.
Preparing your visit
Begin with a question you want to explore: water resource management, infrastructure, sanitation access or cooperation across industries. Compare it with the published programme. This helps you decide which discussions and meetings justify a separate trip and which material you can study remotely.
Check registration, participation requirements and access to your chosen zone on the official conference website. Each format has its own conditions. If travelling as a team, agree beforehand on the topics each person will follow and allow time to share findings. Arrange important conversations with the organisations you want to meet in advance.

Travelling to the conference
Through Hola Taxi’s contact page, you can discuss travel to ADNEC from your Abu Dhabi hotel or a trip from Dubai and back. Give the day, starting address and passenger count. Describe an arrival at DXB followed by a hotel stop and later travel to Abu Dhabi separately: it differs from a direct airport-to-event journey.
