Hero Dubai Desert Classic offers a chance to see professional golf on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club. The tournament runs on 21–24 January 2027. Players compete for the Dallah Trophy, while spectators can spend a few hours watching or return for another round.
Held since 1989, the event is part of the Rolex Series. For fans, it is a reason to plan a January trip to Dubai. If golf is new to you, choose the tournament for a first live encounter with a game in which the precision of each decision matters as much as the power of a shot.

A day on and off the course
The organiser announces more than competition: music, family entertainment and food are also part of the programme. This may suit a group in which not everyone wants to follow every round. Agree who wants more time by the course and who prefers to alternate watching with breaks.
For a first visit, we would choose one day rather than try to see everything. Follow a group for a few holes, then pause. If you want to see the tournament decided, aim for the final day on 24 January. Check the current entry list for 2027 players: a list of previous champions does not confirm their participation in the new edition.
What to decide before buying
The official website offers different ways to attend, including general admission and hospitality. First decide why you are going: to watch golf, enjoy a family day or meet business partners. Then compare the areas and amenities included with the ticket you need.
We recommend clothing and shoes suited to spending time outdoors and walking around the grounds. Use published tee times to plan your day once they are available: the dates 21–24 January alone do not tell you when a particular player will start.

Getting there from your hotel
The organiser warns that there is no public parking at the club during the event. Consider the Metro or discuss a transfer to Emirates Golf Club and back in advance. Include your date, hotel address and number of guests; check permitted arrival locations against the tournament's current instructions.
Do not confuse this journey with the DP World Tour Championship on the Earth Course: the November tournament has a different venue. Other sporting events appear in the season's events guide.
