WETEX is an exhibition of water, energy and environmental technology organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). It focuses on solutions that help cities and businesses use resources more carefully, bringing together companies, engineers and sustainability professionals. The 2026 exhibition takes place on 20–22 October at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
Consider WETEX if you work in energy supply, water resources or urban technology. It offers an opportunity to explore manufacturers' products and discuss their application in your projects. A buyer might start a conversation with a supplier, an engineer might compare solutions, and a delegation might explore the challenges currently facing the industry.

What to explore at the exhibition
The organiser identifies four main themes: water, energy, technology and the environment. The exhibition description also includes renewable energy, electric vehicles, artificial intelligence and smart cities. This places individual pieces of equipment in a wider context: how energy connects with transport, for example, or with digital management of urban infrastructure.
Alongside exhibition stands, WETEX includes specialist seminars and opportunities to exchange professional knowledge. If you are seeking a solution for a project, prepare a few questions that an ordinary catalogue cannot answer. How would a product work in your conditions? What would implementation involve? Who should you continue the technical discussion with afterwards? These questions can make your visit more productive.
Green Mobility and the green economy summit
The 2026 programme includes Green Mobility on 20–22 October, of interest to visitors following developments in cleaner transport. Another concurrent event is the World Green Economy Summit (WGES), on 21–22 October, focusing on the green economy. Both take place at DWTC, but the summit runs for fewer days than the exhibition.
If you want to combine the exhibition and summit, first choose the WGES sessions that interest you and check its specific participation requirements. You can then arrange stand visits around those sessions rather than trying to fit everything into one day.

Making the most of a working day
For a first visit, choose two or three themes directly related to your work. Check the programme on the official website, then draw up a short list of companies and meetings. If you are travelling with colleagues, you could divide the topics between you: one person could look at equipment, another at digital solutions, then compare findings in the evening.
Visitor registration is available through the organiser. Check the terms for individual events separately; exhibition registration does not remove the need to do so.
Travelling to WETEX and exploring Dubai afterwards
If your team is working to the same timetable, discuss travel from your hotel to DWTC and the evening return in advance. In your enquiry to Hola Taxi, include your attendance dates, passenger numbers and hotel. You can discuss transport around your programme, including an airport pickup.
For arrivals at Dubai International Airport, there is a separate DXB airport transfers section. Our Dubai travel guide has ideas for a free evening, from walks and observation decks to family activities.
