IBTM World is a trade show for people who create and organise business meetings, conferences, congresses and corporate events. It lets you consider a future project from several angles: choosing a destination, meeting hotels and venues, comparing suppliers and discovering technology for working with participants. It is particularly relevant to event organisers, corporate teams and travel professionals.
Its appeal is the opportunity to look beyond your usual suppliers. Rather than viewing separate presentations on a screen, you can discuss different destinations and companies’ proposals in person. The show is also a way to understand changing business-event expectations and the solutions available to organisers.
What to see and discuss
The exhibition brings together destinations, hotels, service providers and event technology. Hotel Pavilion offers a focus on the accommodation side of a project, while Event Tech & Services covers tools and services for events. The conference programme complements the stands, allowing you to compare practical offers with the ideas being discussed across the industry.
Before travelling, identify the questions you really need answered. You might want partners in a new destination, a comparison of technical solutions or hotel infrastructure for a future meeting. A clear list helps you select relevant stands and makes the visit more useful than collecting promotional material. Check with the organiser about access to particular meetings and participation formats.
The value of a visit will depend on your own priorities. Leave room for a few detailed conversations as well as an overview, and note which proposals need further investigation after the show.
Dates and venue
IBTM World 2026 takes place on 17–19 November at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. The venue is in a municipality neighbouring Barcelona. Use the name Gran Via when planning your journey; Montjuïc is a separate Fira venue.
Check registration and the latest programme on the official IBTM website. If several meetings shape your trip, choose the visiting day and professional agenda before arranging transport.
Your journey to IBTM
You can discuss a transfer with Hola Taxi from your hotel or another address to Gran Via. Include the date, pickup address and event. Arrival at Barcelona–El Prat and a hotel-to-exhibition journey are separate parts of the trip. Discuss the return separately once your day’s plans are clearer.
