Smart City Expo and Tomorrow.Mobility 2026 in Barcelona

Smart City Expo World Congress is an international congress and exhibition about the everyday and long-term challenges facing cities. It brings together city representatives, businesses, researchers and entrepreneurs. The appeal is the chance to examine urban innovation through practical approaches and conversations with the people developing them.
Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress takes place alongside it on the same dates. Its own focus is how people and goods move: public transport, accessibility, walking, multimodal journeys, electrification and other aspects of urban mobility. You can plan a single business trip around both events while choosing the programme that matches your work.

IBTM World 2026 in Barcelona: meetings and events

IBTM World is a trade show for people who create and organise business meetings, conferences, congresses and corporate events. It lets you consider a future project from several angles: choosing a destination, meeting hotels and venues, comparing suppliers and discovering technology for working with participants. It is particularly relevant to event organisers, corporate teams and travel professionals.
Its appeal is the opportunity to look beyond your usual suppliers. Rather than viewing separate presentations on a screen, you can discuss different destinations and companies’ proposals in person. The show is also a way to understand changing business-event expectations and the solutions available to organisers.
When: 17.11.2026 — 19.11.2026 · Where: Exhibition venue Fira Barcelona Gran Via, Av. Joan Carles I, 64, 08908 L’Hospitalet de Llobregat

Together they provide a distinct reason for a business trip to Barcelona.
The events may interest specialists working in technology, payment solutions, platform security, industry regulation and marketing. The exhibition environment lets you compare suppliers’ products and approaches, while the conference programme introduces questions being discussed by companies and industry experts.

ISE 2027 in Barcelona: audiovisual technology and integration

Integrated Systems Europe, or ISE, is a professional exhibition for audiovisual technology and systems integration. That includes much of what you encounter in a concert hall, office, hotel, shop or classroom: sound, lighting, displays, collaboration tools and the control of connected systems.
The trip can interest integrators, designers, technical specialists and organisations choosing equipment for their spaces. ISE’s appeal lies in seeing how individual devices become a working environment. A designer may focus on the visitor experience, an engineer on compatibility and control, and a client on whether a solution answers a specific need.

Buyers, distributors, restaurant and hotel specialists and other professionals working with wine may find it particularly relevant.
The exhibition offers a way to look at Spanish winemaking as a range of territories and individual projects. Territorial groups, wineries and brands provide different starting points for a conversation: product origin, its place in an assortment, production methods and professional cooperation.

MWC provides a broad view of the technology industry and its major participants. 4YFN concentrates on founders, young companies, pitches and connections within the startup ecosystem. For 2027, the organiser emphasises direct contact with travellers and exhibitors’ offers alongside professional meetings and exchanging ideas.

Automobile Barcelona 2027 moves to Gran Via

Automobile Barcelona is an international motor show presenting the industry through new models and technologies. In 2027, the venue change is an important part of planning a visit: the event moves from its familiar Montjuïc home to Fira Barcelona Gran Via. An address saved from a previous visit will therefore need updating.
The show may interest you if you are considering a new car, follow the industry or want to understand differences between modern solutions. Organiser Fira de Barcelona, supported by ANFAC, associates the next edition with electrification, connected vehicles and autonomous technology. These themes offer a broader perspective than looking at individual models alone.

Fashion enthusiasts can also follow changing bridal styles, although access to individual formats needs checking.
The 2027 edition is presented through the Needs No Explanation campaign. It focuses on a new generation of urban brides who value freedom of choice, individuality and self-expression. This places bridal clothing within broader changes in culture and the visual language of fashion.

The Little Prince at Els Llums de Sant Pau

In winter 2026–2027, Els Llums de Sant Pau is dedicated to El Petit Príncep, The Little Prince. Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau becomes the setting for an illuminated, immersive walk through the story. Instead of sitting before a stage, visitors move along a route where light, music and characters create a sequence of encounters.
The organiser announces the official immersive Little Prince experience from 19 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. The format may suit a family evening or visitors who enjoy combining an unusual setting with an artistic event. The story provides a common thread, while walking and pausing at different scenes creates a different rhythm from a conventional festive performance.
When: 19.11.2026 — 10.01.2027 · Where: Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau complex, Carrer de Sant Antoni Maria Claret 167, Barcelona
Picasso and architecture at Museu Picasso

Picasso y la arquitectura at Museu Picasso de Barcelona examines the artist through his relationship with architecture. Picasso did not practise as an architect, but continually explored ways of representing a city, room, object or the empty space between forms. From 20 November 2026 to 7 March 2027, these questions provide a distinct route through his work.
The exhibition may appeal to visitors who enjoy painting and architecture, or want to look beyond individual famous paintings. Curators Maria Isabel Navarro, Enrique Granell and Emmanuel Guigon consider connections between artistic disciplines. Rather than seeking buildings designed by Picasso, you can observe how his visual thinking changes the way the visible world is understood.
When: 20.11.2026 — 07.03.2027 · Where: Museu Picasso de Barcelona museum, Barcelona
The Nutcracker at the Liceu in December 2026

Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker brings together a winter fairy tale, ballet and music familiar even to people who rarely visit a theatre. From 8 to 12 December 2026, Badisches Staatsballett Karlsruhe performs at the Liceu. The company presents Bridget Breiner’s The Girl and The Nutcracker, giving you a chance to hear a beloved score alongside a particular interpretation of the story.
This version is set in the United States at the beginning of the twentieth century. The Stahlbaum family has lost its fortune, and Clara Marie receives a Nutcracker doll from her eccentric godfather Drosselmeyer. Family relationships, dreams and social differences shape a more personal coming-of-age story. The evening may interest both first-time December ballet visitors and audiences who enjoy comparing productions.

La bohème at Gran Teatre del Liceu

La bohème follows young people for whom art, friendship and love matter more than material comfort. At its heart are the poet Rodolfo and Mimì. Their relationship grows among Parisian garrets, cold and hardship, where a small act of kindness becomes precious. This is an evening for anyone interested in a human story as much as a familiar title from the opera repertoire.
For the 2026–2027 season, the Liceu presents Paolo Gavazzeni and Piero Maranghi’s production from Teatro Regio di Torino, with Giacomo Sagripanti as music director. Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica based the libretto on Henri Murger’s Scènes de la vie de bohème. Four scenes carry the characters from their first encounters towards loss, while keeping their everyday world in view.

Llum BCN 2027 in Barcelona

Llum BCN is a festival of light art in which streets and squares become part of the works. Its sixteenth edition takes place from 5 to 7 February 2027 in Poblenou and the areas around DHub. Choose it for an evening walk that reveals architecture and open spaces through light, colour and movement.
The announced format combines work by international artists, Barcelona’s university-level schools of design, art and architecture, and proposals at cultural and commercial venues. It offers a chance to observe different approaches to a shared environment. Some artists use light to draw attention to architecture; others make it the material of an installation. You do not need specialist knowledge to look closely at the way a space changes.

Jenůfa at Gran Teatre del Liceu

Leoš Janáček’s Jenůfa is a family tragedy shaped by the pressure of a close rural community. The heroine and her stepmother, the Kostelnička, are bound by love, fear and ideas about what is right. When care becomes an attempt to defend family honour at any cost, the consequences are devastating. It is a choice for visitors interested in serious music theatre and difficult characters.
In May 2027, Gran Teatre del Liceu presents a new production by Àlex Ollé. Jonathan Nott conducts, with Asmik Grigorian and Nina Stemme among the announced principal singers. The encounter between the two women forms the emotional centre of the opera, and a new staging offers another way to examine their story. Check the cast for your chosen date on the theatre’s website.
When: 08.05.2027; 11.05.2027; 14.05.2027; 16.05.2027; 20.05.2027; 22.05.2027 · Where: Gran Teatre del Liceu theatre, La Rambla 51–59, Barcelona
The World of Hans Zimmer in Barcelona

The World of Hans Zimmer — A New Dimension comes to Palau Sant Jordi on 8 May 2027. This concert project turns film music into a stage experience of its own: orchestral suites meet visual projections, sound design and solo performances. It may appeal to fans of the composer and visitors who want to hear the language of cinema outside a film screening.
Hans Zimmer is the project’s music director and curator, but does not appear on stage. This is an essential feature of The World of Hans Zimmer. When choosing the event, look for its complete title, A New Dimension. The composer’s name on the poster refers to the music and creative direction rather than a personal performance in Barcelona.

The organiser describes an entirely urban route through the city and along the coast. It suits runners who enjoy long street races: the distance calls for an individual pace while the setting changes with the neighbourhoods.
