Choose your part in the race
Allianz Jean Bouin is a city running event with several ways to take part. Its 103rd edition takes place in Barcelona on 29 November 2026. The programme includes the mass-participation Open 5K and Open 10K, alongside separate children’s and federation races. Your trip can therefore be a sporting goal or a family outing: one person might want to test their pace while another comes to cheer them on.
The race itself provides the main experience. Runners gather before spreading out along city streets; spectators follow the start, look out for a familiar number and meet their runner afterwards. You do not need to follow someone around the whole course. Our editorial suggestion is to choose one accessible section and agree where to meet after the finish, giving everyone a clear plan for the morning.
Five or ten kilometres
The distances offer different experiences. Open 10K is a ten-kilometre city race starting and finishing on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina at Montjuïc. The organiser lists a 09:00 start. Open 5K finishes at the Arc de Triomf, an important distinction if you are accompanying someone or arranging their journey afterwards. Sharing one event name does not mean all runners finish in the same place.
Choose a distance that suits your preparation and read the rules for that format. Children’s, federation and mass-participation races have separate conditions and programmes. Before travelling, check the official schedule, your registration confirmation and the current course plan. Arriving at the start does not replace race registration.
The date and your journey
The organiser has specifically reaffirmed 29 November 2026 after the race date coincided with an election. Even so, check its page again before setting out: these details were checked on 21 October.
If you are leaving a Barcelona hotel, plan your journey to your own start and the return from the actual finish of your distance. Arriving at Barcelona–El Prat (BCN) and travelling to your hotel are separate stages. Discuss your Jean Bouin journey with Hola Taxi, giving your address, distance and plans after the race. Discuss the journey arrangements and departure time when you get in touch.
