Art Dubai is an art fair at Madinat Jumeirah, bringing together galleries, artists and visitors. The 2027 edition will be open to the public from 9 to 11 April. Come to explore different artistic approaches in one day and discover artists from the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and beyond.
It is not just for collectors choosing a work to buy. For a curious traveller, it is a chance to broaden an understanding of the region's art, compare works from different generations, notice unexpected materials and find areas to explore further.

Art Dubai's five sections
The organiser has announced five sections for 2027. Art Dubai Galleries brings together contemporary and modern art galleries. Zamaniyyat focuses on artists who shaped twentieth-century modernism, including in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Bawwaba presents solo displays of new work, introducing visitors to emerging names in art. Art Dubai Digital explores the intersection of art and technology. Art Dubai Extended takes large works beyond the conventional gallery stand into different spaces across the fair.
For a first visit, we would avoid trying to cover every stand in order. Choose two areas that appeal to you, then leave time for unexpected discoveries. You might compare modern and digital art and discuss how forms of expression change.
Visiting without specialist knowledge
You do not need to know every artist's name in advance. Start with a work that catches your attention: read its label, examine the material and consider the question the artist raises. With friends, ask each person to choose one work and explain why. This turns the visit into a conversation rather than an attempt to memorise a catalogue.
Check the new programme for specific 2027 galleries and artists. Familiar names from earlier editions do not confirm their participation in April.

Dates and admission
Previews take place on 7–8 April, followed by public days on 9–11 April. Choose the public dates for your visit and check ticket terms on Art Dubai's website. Madinat Jumeirah is a large complex, so use the fair address in the organiser's current guidance when planning your journey.
If you are visiting as a couple or a group, discuss a transfer from your hotel to Art Dubai and back. Include the visit date, guest numbers and accommodation address. Plan the journey once you have decided how much time you want to spend with the art.
For a cultural trip, compare the fair with November's Dubai Design Week and other seasonal events.
